1. Was there any question? Will Eric Knight ever forgive himself? This was a first round pick. The Hoyas were like a 6 or 7 seed I think. Maybe higher. I think this broke like half the rules - fav team, low seed, a center (black though). Never has anyone lost so quickly.
2. Give us a break, it was our first year. When me and Gowyden picked up Dillard we thought we had a baller. Well after a barrage of goose egg games we realized you can't pick a dude who comes off the bench. This rule is intensified if he is a specialist (3-point, 19mpg spark plug, defensive).
3. Another Bazis no no. Don't pile on picks from the same team and don't do it for you fav team. Rarely should you get more then one dude from a team. I think one year Bazis had Johnson and Reid - a dude like my height and Arkansas went down in the first round. Great stuff.
4. A classic Bazis pick. You can't pick dudes just because there on your team or been your baller you've been following all year. Escpecially when you can get him in like 6 more rounds.
5. Ummm, Dailey you can't pick a dude twice. And trust me even if I could double his stats on one pick there is NO way I would take Jacque Vaughn. See Ryan Robertson.
6. Usually one 3 seed loses in the first round, and two more before or in the sweet 16. Then like one will get to the Elite Eight or Final Four. I don't know what it is, but the UCLA, Mississipi, Arizona - weak teams like this that get a 3 seed always blow your draft. So with like a 25% chance of your dude getting 4 or 5 games don't gamble.
7. Again more a general player then Robertson. But never pick a dude who scores like 8 a game even if they could go all the way. It is hard to watch a buster like this go for like 6pts and 15 dimes, so do yourself a favor and don't pick anyone averaging less then 9.
8. Come on what are they gonna blow up for like 30? Heck no. You can maybe look for like 11 a game on 3-6 from the line and like 4-9 on hook shots. If they are from North Carolina it is even worse.
9. He wasn't really a bad pick overall but compared to Elton Brand he is a ho. A prime example of why you should not trust anyone on draft night. Especially not that ugly bitch Blake.
10. This is more like a rule then worst pick, but when somebody decides to pull the trigger on a baller in like the 5th round for an 11 seed is unbearable. This person should stop picking right there and go home. Inexcusable.
This list was made in honor of march madness. It kind of turned into rules to follow when drafting at March Madness. I am sure I forgot a bunch of picks but this is the list for now.
